The Crease Question is a raw and passionately personal one-woman show exploring the boundaries of love, racial identity, sexuality, and estrangement.
Written and performed by Kira Onodera, the production combines intimate storytelling with an unflinching examination of identity, relationships, and the complexities of belonging.
Originally written in 2005, the work premiered at the Michael Chekhov Theatre Company on New York's Lower East Side. It subsequently appeared at the Estrogenius Festival in 2005 and Starbucks Salon Soho in 2006. The play was rewritten in 2009 before being presented at 3LD Art & Technology Center in April 2010, produced by Aaron Louis.
