ZEE is an immersive audiovisual installation by artist Kurt Hentschläger that challenges the way visitors perceive space, light and their own senses. Entering an enclosed environment filled with dense, odorless artificial fog, participants navigate through near-total visual disorientation as pulsating and stroboscopic light creates shifting impressions of depth and movement.
A surrounding electronic soundscape intensifies the experience. With familiar visual reference points erased, the environment becomes a sensory landscape in which color, rhythm and light continually reshape perception.
The New York presentation was co-produced by FuturePerfect and 3-Legged Dog in association with Performance Space 122. Aaron Louis produced as part of the 3LD team alongside Kevin Cunningham.
